Messianic Prophecies

Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.

Isaiah 7:14

The book of Isaiah was written by the prophet Isaiah approximately 700 B.C.  This book and the preceding verse was written hundreds of years prior to the following verse in the book of Matthew.  This verse foretold the coming of our Lord.  And you might ask how could this be?  Our God, the only God that has ever been and always will be knew you before you took your first breath of air.  He knew His only begotten Son would arrive just as He had planned hundreds of years prior. 

Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated, "God with us."
